REQUIREMENTS FOR INDUCTION 

• Must be enrolled in a dance class for a minimum of 3 years at the high school level. 

• Must be enrolled for a full year of private/studio dance class in place of 1 year not enrolled in dance class at school.

• At least 30 points required for induction, 20 of which must be earned through participation in chapter site program activities.RHS dance classes, performances, etc)

• Points earned for meritorious work in dance that meets the honor society’s general guidelines and, when appropriate, on the basis of dance class grade point average (GPA). 

• Must demonstrate collaborative teamwork, motivation, and participation in the many aspects of dance such as choreography, performance, teaching and production.  These factors will determine eligibility for membership.

• Sponsors will determine when each student has met the criteria for becoming an official inductee of the local chapter.  These criteria may be determined by the needs of each individual situation as they relate to the NHSDA guidelines.

 

INDUCTION BENEFITS

After earning 30 points and being inducted into the NHSDA, dancers will receive an official certificate of induction from the State Affiliate or other host organization.  Inductees will be eligible to wear the NHSDA honor cord during graduation ceremonies.
